The book gives an account of a tragedy at Chauri Chaura, near Gorakhpur in U.P. It is indeed a challenge to the Gandhian political philosophy. Gandhi was very sad about the incident and inspite of several challenges, he faced them with a brave face and suspended the movement. (Jacket)
