This fierce satire on British imperial rule in India was originally published in 1816, with many hand-coloured illustrations. It was set in the tenure of the Earl of Moira, Francis Edward Rawdon Hastings, Ist Marquess of Hastings 1754-1826 and Governor general of British India from 1813 to 1823. (jacket)
