This diary of Lucknow, the Capital of Oudh serves as a pictorial guide of historical account of the lost heritage of Lucknow. Prostate columns, broken arches, scathed monuments, neglected gardens are all objects of interest and curiosity to the tourist, antiquarian, historian, archaeologist and the lover of art. This volume may be preserved, for transmission to posterity, as a memorial to the dangers passed and the hardships suffered by the glorious Garrison of Lucknow.
