"This book is an attempt to delve into one of the problems faced by the teaching faculty at the school level. There is a tendency to brand the truant student as an incorrigible delinquent. This may be due to lack of proper understanding. This study shows that there are various factors such as heredity and environment that make a person or breaks a person. A genuine understanding of a truant helps to love the person as he is without condemning him.
This book will be a great help for the teaching community as well as for the parents who wish to understand the different patterns of behaviour of their children." (jacket)
